Scheduled Water Outage, Boil Water Advisory and Road Closures
Town of Canton Scheduled Water Valve Repair
The Town of Canton will be repairing a valve at the intersection of Blackwell Drive and Champion Drive from 11:30 pm on Sunday, June 29th until complete (approximately 6am on June 30th). Road closures and new traffic patterns will be in place from 7am until repaired.
- Champion Drive, Willis Cove, Buckeye Cove, Thickety Road and Pigeon Ford are the areas that are anticipated affected areas.
- If you lose water or have no water pressure during this time, you are advised to boil water until further notice
- Updates will be provided on cantonnc.com, the Town of Canton Facebook page, and Everbridge Alerts.
Town of Canton Road Closure Notification
On Sunday, June 29th at 7pm the Town of Canton will be closing portions of Champion Drive at the intersection of Blackwell Drive to perform a scheduled water valve repair between the Blackwell Drive bridges.
- Champion Drive from I-40 will flow normally to the bridge at Blackwell Drive, where all traffic must turn onto Blackwell Drive and remain in the right-hand lane.
- Champion Drive will be closed from the bridges to the intersection of N Main, Bridge, and Champion Drive to traffic in both directions.
- Blackwell Drive will flow towards Champion Drive in the left-hand lane and utilize the new traffic pattern in the area of the closure.
- Beaverdam Street and North Canton Road will be able to exit by right-hand turn only. Traffic will be allowed to enter these streets.
Please use extreme caution in these areas!!
