Are You Looking For A FUN Summer Activity For Your Kids?
Canton Parks and Recreation is providing a new and exciting summer camp at Recreation Park! The goal of Canton Summer Camp is to provide a fun and safe place where kids will spend all summer outside doing crafts, playing games, and of course SWIMMING! Each group will be separated by the grade they are going into in the fall. Each week will have different themes with coordinating activities. Canton Summer Camp will be focused on outdoor fun and community engagement!
Camper Age Groups
.
RISING 1ST & 2ND GRADERS
This group will offer campers age-appropriate crafts and fun games that will teach them to appreciate nature. This group will be a perfect fit for young cubs who do not have camp experience, and will help pave the way into the older groups.
RISING 3RD & 4TH GRADERS
These campers who have a little more experience in group settings will be similar to the Bear Cubs, but engage in different crafts, lessons and skills appropriate for their age group.
RISING 5TH & 6TH GRADERS
These campers will be positive role models for the younger campers while still being allowed to play hard! Bobcats will participate in several activities and lessons that promote leadership, team building, and outdoor stewardship.
Counselors in Training (CITs)
7th GRADERS – 14 YEARS OLD
CITs help supervise campers during recreation and meal times. They will assist with camp prep, check-in/out, and cleaning up. CITs serve as a positive role model and help create a supportive camp community. This program is FREE but helps prepare these young adults for future employment for summer camp.
