Public Service Announcement: Wastewater Treatment Facility

The Town of Canton currently does not own, operate, or control the wastewater treatment facility.  Pactiv Evergreen is contractually obligated to operate the wastewater plant adhering to all government regulations and requirements until March 2025.  Pactiv has requested that all complaints and concerns can be addressed to millconcerns@cantonnc.com and these concerns will be forwarded directly to the company.  The Town and our state/federal partners also have concerns regarding the current operation of the wastewater plant and is actively seeking answers and resolutions to the recent odor that is plaguing the area.
