In correlation with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services NC Forest Service, The Town of Canton Fire Chief has lifted the burning ban within the Town of Canton city limits. This begins at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Burn permits are available statewide. Residents can obtain a burn permit from any authorized permitting agent or online at https://apps.ncagr.gov/burnpermits/.
