Mandatory Water Conservation Notice for Canton and Clyde

UPDATED on January 5, 2023
Canton and Clyde Voluntary (1) and Mandatory (2) Phases of Water Conservation Are Lifted

The Town of Canton/Clyde Voluntary and Mandatory Water Conservation phases are lifted as of 8:34am on January 5, 2023. We would like to sincerely thank everyone, residents and businesses alike, for their efforts conserving water allowing our reservoirs to reach capacity which allowed us to better serve our community.

ORIGINAL POST from December 25, 2023

The Towns of Canton and Clyde are under Mandatory Water Conservation. The Town of Canton is currently working on two separate major water line breaks along with high water usage during the holidays which has put our reservoirs under a strain. To keep our residents with water service we are banning any excessive or non-essential water use at this time. Things such as laundry, dishwashers, and other items listed below are ways that we can allow our water reservoirs to maintain while we continue to work on these broken lines. If, however you find yourself without water we ask that you call our on-call service at 828-648-2376 (Canton Police Department) so that we know who is without water. We want to thank you all in advance for your help during this difficult situation.
