Haywood Waterways 13th Annual Plunge!

Saturday, February 8, 2025
Lake Junaluska Pool
11:30am to 1:00pm

On February 8th, 2025, Haywood Waterways Association will once again be “Freezin’ for a Reason” and host its biggest fundraiser of the year to support its environmental education programs, including the award-winning Kids in the Creek. After just celebrating its 27th year, this multi-week program is a wonderful example of community partnership and support with the goal to educate, inspire, and engage the next generation of environmental leaders and stewards.

Ways to Register or Support:

– As an individual
– Start or join a Team
– Donate to an Individual or Team to help them reach their goal
– Donate to HWA

Event Details:

– Event: 11:30am to 1:00pm
– Registration: 10:30am to 11:30am
– Plunge at 12pm!

Cost is $25 to plunge, free to HWA Members and children 17 and under. Go to www.goplunge.org for details.

Costumes are welcomed, and prizes will be awarded for best costumes, top individual fundraiser, and team fundraisers. Fun is mandatory! We will have entertainment for kids available leading up to the Plunge event, including Waynesville Rec Center’s Basecamp!
