The Colonial Theatre
The historic Colonial Theatre was built in 1932 & renovated in 1992 & again in 2006 giving the town a multi- use facility with state of the art film, video & sound equipment. Colonial Annex (Veteran’s Corner)
The Colonial Annex offers meeting & dining facilities as an adjunct to the Theatre, or as a stand alone facility. With a full service kitchen available, the facility is used by many groups for meetings, receptions, parties & other special events. To check availability please call (828) 235-2760.
The Armory
The Armory is also available for rental. This 4,000 square foot building is equipped with the capacity to seat 300 people. There are 16 round tables that seat 8 & there are 42 rectangle tables that seat 8 also. The armory does not have a kitchen but catering is an option. Ample parking is available. The Canton Area Historical Museum was dedicated Labor Day, 1990 and is located on Park Street in the former Canton Branch Library. The museum is a nonprofit, educational institution. The hours of operation are Monday -Tuesday from 10:00 to 3:00pm and Friday – Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm

Pigeon River Scenic Walking Trail
This mile and a half walking trail is located along the beautiful Pigeon River in Canton. Along the length of the trail are benches to relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery and wildlife. Further along downstream you’ll find a boat access ramp for those wishing to canoe or fish. There’s something for everyone along the trail, whether you’re looking for some exercise or just an enjoyable stroll with your family and friends. Don’t forget to bring the kids along to feed the ducks and geese that frequent the river.
